DEAD BIRDS DON’T FLY

Spring 2021

DEAD BIRDS DON’T FLY is an intimate portrait concerned with labor, love, loss, and grief over the past 22 days, weeks, months, and years. Consciously navigating the structural medium of film, the narrator attempts to reconcile with the impossibility of creating a new work, ultimately yielding a collaboration with his parents, and a desperate and laborious refusal/acceptance of the cinematic.

Directed and edited by Rodney Murray
Dramaturgical collaboration with Ryan Louis
